Start out the new year making healthy choices

New Year resolution – healthy choices

At this time of year, the ads are all about getting healthy – new you, new choices, healthy living, etc.

So, I’m just wondering, do you tend to eat better year round or do you splurge during the holidays and then make the ever popular new year resolution to change your eating habits and start exercising? And, do you maintain your resolution or how long does it take before you start to slack off?

When it comes to working out, do you prefer to hit the gym or work out in the privacy of your own home?

If you exercise using videos, I notice Target has workout DVDs for $10. Plus you get a free one-year subscription to Fitness, More or Shape magazine with your purchase (quantities limited).

Also at Target, men’s and women’s workout clothes are on sale. Men’s gym shorts are $8. Women’s Performance capris and pants are $15.

Yoplait yogurt (4 or 6 ounce) cups are on sale at Target – 10 for $5.

At Walmart, Weight Watchers SmartOnes and Lean Cuisine frozen meals are $1.98 each.

So, whether you maintain a healthy lifestyle or have made the resolution to get back on track, here’s to a happy and healthy new year.
