Pillsbury coupons and website offer great savings and holiday recipes

Wow, lots of coupons in the Journal-World this week. These are just in time to help you stock up for your holiday cooking and baking.

I’m a Pillsbury fan. I enjoy their products and their recipes. The Pillsbury coupons in the General Foods insert will come in handy, especially for party planning.

I always find that Pillsbury recipes are well tested and generally fool proof. At http://www.pillsbury.com/ , you will get lots of ideas, and you can sign up for their newsletter for more recipes and coupons. The website is also easy to navigate.

I know I can always count on this website for all types of recipes, but I especially rely on the Pillsbury website when I am looking for appetizer ideas. They are quick and usually easy to follow.

How many times have you made the sausage snack wraps appetizer using crescent rolls? Or any of the many pinwheel appetizers also using crescents?

I am not a good pie crust maker, but I definitely turn to the Pillsbury pie crusts to help me out.

Again, I’m always looking for ways to make things a little easier, and Pillsbury is one of my sources.

For those of you who have never tried the Sausage Snack Wraps, here’s the recipe:

Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz ea) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls

48 full cooked smoked sausage links

Ketchup, mustard, and prepared horseradish, if desired.

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Separate dough into 16 triangles. Cut each triangle into thirds lengthwise. Place sausage on shortest side of each triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side of triangle and rolling to opposite point. Place rolls point side down on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ketchup, mustard and horseradish.

You can make these ahead of time, assemble them, cover and refrigerate up to 2 hours; bake as directed.
