March 14th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police responded on four noise complaints, three reported thefts and conducted seven vehicle stops.

One of the theft calls was related to two males, who were reported to have been wearing masks, when they attempted to steal something from a business in the 1000 block of W 23rd Street. The two men were said to have ran in the direction of an area apartment complex. It was not clear if the males actually got away with anything stolen or failed in their attempt. No injuries were reported.

A vehicle stop in the 100 block of W 6th Street at 2 a.m., ended up resulting in one subject being taken into custody for a DUI related offense. The subject was also reported to have been driving without insurance.

Police were only called to one disturbance after midnight and no serious injuries were reported.
