June 21st Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police conducted 11 vehicle stops this morning. Two of those vehicle stops resulted in arrests for active warrants.

Eudora Police and Fire responded on a tree branch which caught a utility pole on fire. Police reported that the small fire burnt itself out prior to the Fire Department’s arrival.

Westar Energy reported 1,137 customers without electricity service this morning around 2 a.m.. That number decreased throughout the morning and was down to 62 Westar Customers in the county and just under 100 KCP&L customers. As of 8 a.m., KCP&L still shows 97 customers without electricity in southern Douglas County, Westar Energy shows 11 customers without in the county.

None of this morning’s activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.
