September 10th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A pretty busy night for Lawrence. I kept a tally of some of the usually frequent activities in Lawrence on weekend evenings and early mornings, here is what I was left with this morning.

1 – Fireworks Complaint

3 – Narcotics Related

7 – Indecent Exposures (Mostly urinating in public)

13 – Alcohol Violations

19 – Noise Complaints

26 – Vehicle Stops

County Deputies responded on a few non injury accidents, one involving a vehicle that reportedly crashed into a ditch on Highway 40 to the west of the airport. And just after 6 a.m. this morning a report of as many as 40 gunshots fired and subjects riding ATV’s just east of Lawrence.

None of the overnight, activity that I heard, involved any serious injuries or the use of any weapons.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.
