October 11th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Another quiet night in Douglas County.

Again, a few noise complaints and small disturbances. The only disturbance call that I heard which involved more than three subjects was a fight in the 400 block of N 2nd Street. A caller reported possibly 15-20 people involved. Police arrived and the fight quickly dispersed. No injuries were reported and it did not sound as though anyone was taken into custody.

A Deputy near Baldwin City reported extremely low visibility due to thick fog. That report was made shortly before 2 a.m.. About 20 minutes later, the National Weather Service in Topeka issued a Dense Fog Advisory for all of Douglas County. That advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. this morning.

Shortly after 3a.m. Police and LDCFM responded on a single vehicle injury accident in the 1100 block of Wakarusa Drive. Police arrived on scene and confirmed that there were possibly two subjects with injuries. Medics arrived on scene and confirmed that one vehicle was involved. That vehicle was reported to have sustained minor damage. Medics treated one of the occupants for injuries that were also described as minor.
