November 12th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Things were fairly normal for the most part overnight.

Lawrence Police responded on a number of disturbances, noise complaints and conducted numerous vehicle stops.

At 2:45 a.m. a LPD officer on routine patrols located subjects shooting off fireworks in the 800 block of Kentucky.

Shortly after 3:40 a.m. KU Public Safety was notified of several subjects who were seen wandering through a parking area and attempting to find unlocked vehicle doors. The subjects were reported to have entered one vehicle and tried the door handles on several others. KUPD was quickly able to catch up with the subjects. Three individuals, possibly juveniles, were taken into custody.

None of the overnight activity, that I heard, involved the use of weapons or resulted in any serious injuries.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.

Some of the activity blogged above was reported as it was unfolding by Operation 100 News. Learn how to receive breaking news updates here.
