July 17th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Fairly quiet overnight for Douglas County. Lawrence Police responded on the usual calls for noise complaints and disturbances. A few car stops, with at least 3 DUI arrests. One of which occurred on a stop conducted by the Kansas Highway Patrol, with LPD’s assistance. Lawrence Officeers also responded on one or two fireworks complaints throughout the night.

A Eudora Police Officer on routine patrols happened upon a disturbance in the 500 block of east 10th Street, at the Grandview Mobile Home Park. The officer requested emergency assistance for five subjects fighting in the street. Douglas County Deputies responded quickly to assist and were able to stabilize the situation rather quickly. Sounded like one person was taken into custody. No injuries were reported related to the disturbance.
