August 24th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

All was quiet again last night in Lawrence and the rest of Douglas County.

Lawrence Police conducted a significant number of vehicle stops, at least one resulted in an arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.

LPD responded on a battery in the 600 block of Massachusetts Street just before 2 a.m. Police also responded on a few disturbances throughout the city. No serious injuries were reported.

In case you have not already seen the article, The Journal World’s Shaun Hittle recently interviewed me about my work monitoring my scanners. The article can be seen here. Also, I would like to add that Operation 100 News and myself are NOT affiliated, in any way, with any of the other people interviewed or the Twitter username’s mentioned in the article.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.
