Look on the bright side: We could be living on the snow-covered east coast

The mid-Atlantic states are now seeing the end of their second blizzard within the past week.

The first blizzard, which struck last weekend, dropped up to 3 feet of snow over a large swatch of the region. This includes major cities like Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Baltimore. In fact, Baltimore has had 73.2″ of snow so far this winter (as of Wednesday afternoon). This shattered the old record of 62.5″ set back during the winter of 1995-96.

Major interstates are closed, airports are shut down, and accidents have been rampant. Do you have family in the mid-Atlantic region? What have you heard from them about this prolific snowfall?
