4th of July Forecast

We have plenty of good news to talk about for the 4th of July forecast this year. First, let’s compare it to last year. On the afternoon of the Fourth last year a strong line of storms developed north of Douglas county with heavy rain, plenty of lightning and reports of several funnel clouds. As the storms slowly slid south, a tornado warning was issued for western Douglas Co. including Clinton Lake. Luckily this year severe weather is not in the forecast. In fact storms are not in the forecast. I do think we’ll still have extra clouds and limited sunshine, but that might be nice, because that will keep temperatures in check. The forecast for Friday is mostly cloudy skies, east then southeast winds at 8 to 15 mph, and a high temperature of only 84 degrees! For 10PM Friday night with the fireworks, the skies look like they will be staying mostly to partly cloudy and the temperature will be around 70 degrees! I’ll see you out at the fireworks!
