¢ Former KU football runningback John Randle keeps getting pub for his time in Lawrence – but not the good kind. His extracurricular activities are mentioned again in this story posted on the Sporting News Web site._The same appears true at running back, where Whitlock is likely to get some backfield help from John Randle, who sat out last season after being dismissed from Kansas’ team in March 2005 after being charged with hitting a man outside a bar in Lawrence, Kan._ _Randle was the Jayhawks’ top rusher in 2004 — 540 yards – and caught 35 passes for 274 yards, along the way notching a team-high nine touchdowns and 1,065 all-purpose yards._¢ Lawrence-based band White Whale’s debut album gets reviewed by Seattle Weekly._Some aspects of this disc are tough to explain, including why these guys sound sorta British despite being based in Lawrence, Kan. After cutting his teeth by working for the University of Kansas Jayhawks athletic department, Dean worked in the front office of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for three years where he met current Ticat GM Rob Katz. That connection led to his hiring by Young to run the Ticat business operations in late 2003._¢ A former Kansas University law instructor, Shirley Goza, has been named as managing director of Quality Litigation Services, an Overland Park-based group that formed when Quality Group of Cos. purchased Focus Trial & Settlement Solutions, according to the Kansas City Business Journal._Goza, who also is general counsel for Quality Group of Cos., has 20 years of experience as a lawyer and has taught law classes at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the University of Kansas._
