Drugs and medical problems sent two Wakarusa festival-goers to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Saturday morning, Capt. Pat Talkington, Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical, said.Although one of the festival-goers suffered from what Talkington called “a medical condition,” another person was transported being combative, suffering from an apparent drug overdose, Talkington said.Aside from the two medical issues, Talkington said the night at the campgrounds was fairly quiet. He said law enforcement officers made very few arrests.”After that,” Talkington said of the hospitalizations, “It was pretty quiet.”
