Club patron suspected of dealing ecstasy

Lawrence Police arrested a Leavenworth man on suspicion of dealing ecstasy after being called to a disturbance early Sunday morning at Last Call, 729 N.H.According to a police report, officers arrested the man for disorderly conduct at the club shortly before 3 a.m. because of an altercation in which he displayed a cigarette lighter shaped like a handgun. When he was booked into the Douglas County Jail later that morning, officers found 12 packaged pills believed to be ecstasy, according to a report. He was identified as James L. Williams Jr., 21. Also on Sunday morning at Last Call, police arrested a 22-year-old Topeka woman, Kayla Joy Plakio, for a fight around 2:35 a.m. in which she’s suspected of striking an 18-year-old Lawrence woman with a padlock. The victim suffered lacerations, according to a report. Other reports:¢ 2500 block of West Sixth Street: a 22-year-old patron of Cadillac Ranch, 2515 W. Sixth St., is suspected of touching an unidentified woman inappropriately inside the bar around 1:22 a.m. Friday. He and a 21-year-old male acquaintance, who is suspected of throwing a piece of ice at someone inside the bar around the same time, were given warnings for trespassing and told not to come back to the bar. -contributed by Eric Weslander.
