Heading into the game against Texas, KU defensive lineman Daniel Wise met with the media to discuss the matchup and what it means to him.

Wise, a Lewisville, Texas-native, made it clear he hasn’t dwelled on the fact that he wasn’t too prominently featured on Texas’ watch list as a high schooler.

“It’s an extra chip on my shoulder,” he said. “I’m glad they didn’t recruit me.”
