KU Crime Blotter: Dec. 19-Jan. 1

The following incidents were reported to the University of Kansas Office of Public Safety between Monday, Dec. 19, and Sunday, Jan. 1. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.

Jan. 1

• Graffiti occurred Dec. 31 or Jan. 1 at the University Guest House. Someone spray painted on a brick wall. Loss was valued at $100.

• Destruction of property occurred about 2:15 a.m. Jan. 1 at Lot 94, 1100 block of Mississippi St. Someone threw a marijuana grinder through the passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle, and reached into the vehicle and turned on the headlights. Damage was estimated at $250.

Dec. 30

• Graffiti occurred between Dec. 16 and 30 at Lot 111, 500 block of West 11th St. Someone spray painted a wall. Loss was valued at $100.

Dec. 26

• Someone spray painted the word “rush” in various locations near Smith Hall Dec. 25 or 26. Loss was valued at $200.

Dec. 22

• Someone spray painted the word “rush” on two different green electrical boxes Dec. 22 at Margaret Amini Scholarship Hall. Loss was valued at $200.
