Police searching for 3 men suspected of entering a home without permission and beating residents

Police are on the lookout for three men suspected of entering a home without permission early Saturday morning and beating three residents, seriously injuring them.

On Saturday morning police arrived at a house in the 1300 block of Ohio Street for a report of an aggravated battery, said Lawrence Police Sgt. Amy Rhoads. There had been a party in the house earlier.

Around 3 a.m. there was a disturbance at the house party, caused when one resident of the home asked a visitor to leave, Rhoads said. Several people left the party as a result of the disturbance.

Later that morning three men entered the home without permission and attacked three of the residents, Rhoads said. The residents, male and female, suffered serious but nonlife-threatening injuries. All were treated at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

The suspects may have also suffered injuries in the confrontation, Rhoads said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Lawrence Police Department at 785-832-7509 or Crime Stoppers at 785-843-8477.

Further information was not immediately available.
