KU softball suffers two more losses in Kajikawa Classic

The Kansas softball team dropped two more games Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.

In the first game, KU (0-4) suffered a 14-6 loss to No. 12 Arizona State in five innings. The Jayhawks then dropped a 6-4 decision to Utah in the second game of the Kajikawa Classic, falling to 0-4 in the event.

Catcher Shelby Gayre led the offense against Utah, knocking in three of the team’s four runs with three hits in as many at-bats. Madison Sykes, Morgyn Wynne and Jennifer Marwitz all notched multihit performances, as well.

Kansas takes on Missouri at 11 a.m. Sunday to conclude the Kajikawa Classic.
