No. 17 Baker notches 34-7 win over MNU

The No. 17 Baker University football team opened up Heart South-Division play with a victory, defeating rival MidAmerica Nazarene University by a 34-7 margin Saturday afternoon in Olathe.

Baker improved to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in conference action, while MidAmerica Nazarene dropped to 2-6 and 0-1 in Heart South play. Baker’s offense put up one its best performances of the season, as the team racked up 567 yards of total offense.

The Wildcats have a bye next week, and will next take on Central Methodist University on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. in Fayette, Missouri. Baker defeated the Eagles last season in the friendly confines of Liston Stadium, 49-0.
