In regards to meals in school cafeterias, board members meet as a group during the year with teachers and staff at each school. These informal lunch-time discussions are designed to improve the board’s knowledge of school issues.

Weseman said each school’s food service program billed the district office for school board members’ meals because these meetings have been considered official business.
