On Sunday afternoon volunteers hung hundreds of colorful and decorated bras along both sides of the Kansas River bridge as part of Bras Across the Kaw. The annual event, which is sponsored by Health Care Access, aims to raise awareness of breast cancer around Lawrence during October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The bras will remain hanging until Oct. 11, 2015.
