Daniel Watts turns 11 today, on Veterans Day. His parents were in the Army and Air Force and he has cousins in the Marines. Daniel says he wants to be a Marine when he is older.

Lawrence resident Edna Poole, 93, is pictured with a photograph of herself from her years serving as a nurse in World War II. Poole, who recently returned from an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial and also Arlington National Cemetery, where her late husband Rufus Poole, also a World War II veteran is interred.
