Too bad that most people miss the point that chess is about thinking. You must out think and out maneuver your opponent. Thinking is a subject that this generation knows nothing of, however.

Yup and I know how to watch paint dry too but don't really care for neither.

Mum and Dad used to keep a chess board or two going when I was growing up. We'd make a move, leave a token to mark the other's person's turn and play as the mood struck. I never considered myself very good at it, but now I feel proud to know the game at all, and that they took the time to teach me.

When the men on the chessboard get up and tell you where to go,

And you've just had some kind of mushroom and your mind is moving low,

Go ask Alice, I think she'll know.

The rules have changed since Governor Brownback has been elected. We are all just pawns.

It is all fun and games until the girl beats her boyfriend in chess....then the gloves come off and it is a hockey match. God, I love hockey.
