Former LHS wrestler Melle Dye decommits from Central Christian College, commits to Alderson Broaddus

Lawrence High alumnus Melle Dye announced Monday on Twitter that he decommitted from Central Christian College and verbally committed to continue his wrestling career at Alderson Broaddus University.

“I would like the announce that I have decommitted from Central Christian College of Kansas. I want to thank coach (Tom) Carr and all of the Central Christian family for welcoming me with open arms,” Dye wrote on Twitter. “I have decided to reopen my recruitment. With that being said I will be attending Alderson Broaddus University next year. I just want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way.”

Dye placed fourth in the 145-pound weight class at the Class 6A state wrestling meet in February.
