LHS girls bowling team wins, sweeps top 4 places at home quad

Lawrence High’s girls bowling team had the top four placers and cruised to first place at its home quadrangular Tuesday at Royal Crest Lanes.

Ashley Dykes won an individual title with a 592 three-game series, opening with a game of 261. Emilie Rodman followed in second place (552 series), Diamonique Vann (540) was third and Holly Evans (530) finished fourth. The team won by nearly 200 pins.

Lawrence’s boys bowling team took second place behind Olathe East. Javier Lemmons was fourth individually with a 657 series while Jayden Cress was sixth with a 620.
