Fifth inning dooms Free State baseball in 13-3 loss to SM West

Shawnee Mission West powered past Free State High’s baseball team, 13-3, thanks to a nine-run bottom of the fifth inning on Friday at the 3&2 Baseball Complex.

The Firebirds scored all three of their runs in the fourth. Jack Kallenberger and Cam Karlin ripped RBI singles.

Free State (10-6) will play next against SM South at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the 3&2 Baseball Complex.
