Bonner Springs rallies past Veritas baseball
Veritas Christian’s baseball team was unable to halt a sixth-inning rally by Bonner Springs in a 9-6 loss to the Braves on Monday.
The Eagles jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings, but the Braves cut the deficit in half in the fourth before taking the lead with a six-run sixth.
Tucker Flory led the Eagles with three hits, an RBI and run scored. Kammal Dowdell went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored from the leadoff spot.
Veritas (7-7) will play next at 4:30 p.m. Thursday Topeka Heritage Christian.
