Baker football rolls to homecoming win over Graceland, 66-14

Lawrence High product JD Woods had four touchdowns — three on the ground and one through the air — to guide the second-ranked Baker football team to a 66-14 homecoming win over Graceland on Saturday at Liston Stadium.

Woods rushed for 112 yards on just 12 attempts, and added two receptions for 19 yards.

The Baker defense chipped in on the scoring as well when defensive tackle Josh Kock returned a fumble for a touchdown to push the Wildcats’ lead to 51-0 with 1:23 remaining in the first half. Kegan Schumann, Nate McLaurin and Clay Drouillard all hauled in an interception.

The Wildcats (4-0) will square off against No. 16 Benedictine (4-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Atchison in a battle of the two remaining undefeated Heart of America Athletic Conference teams.
