Havili named Big 12 player of the week

For the second time this season, Kansas senior setter Ainise Havili was named the Big 12’s Offensive Player of the Week, announced Monday.

Havili led the 11th-ranked Jayhawks (14-2) to conference wins against Iowa State and TCU with 12.38 assists per set and a .302 hitting percentage.

Against the Cyclones, ranked No. 20 in the country, Havili recorded 60 assists, 17 digs and four kills. It’s the fourth time in her career she’s earned offensive player of the week honors.

Havili ranks fifth in the nation in assists per set (11.97) and is less than 200 assists from breaking KU’s career record.
