Annual Holiday Homes Tour features festive fare for good cause

The holiday shop, which will be located at the Smith Center at Brandon Woods, features decorated holidays items that can be purchased the day of the Homes Tour.

The 13th annual Holiday Homes Tour will feature festive fare for a good cause.

The tour, hosted by Health Care Access, will be from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 and will include eight local homes decorated for the holidays.

Tickets are $20 and only 500 will be sold. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Health Care Access, a nonprofit health clinic that serves the low-income and uninsured of Douglas County.

The eight homes on the tour are:

• 1609 Brandon Woods Court, owned by Sally Davis

• 5601 Villa Drive, owned by Jeanie and Bruce Bundy

• 126 Earhart Circle, owned by Kristin and Chris Piper

• 1754 East 1200 Road, owned by Karla and Rich Nathan

• 3005 W. 29th St., owned by Barbara Kurtz

• 4729 Woodland Drive, owned by Sarah and Troy Landers

• 504 Blazing Star Drive, owned by Kathleen Kinsler and Frisco Morse

• 5707 Warren Court, owned by Chris and Don Cushing

The event also includes the Holiday Shoppe, which is open to the public and will offer holiday decorations and baked goods for sale. The Holiday Shoppe opens at 11 a.m. at the Smith Center at Brandon Woods, 1501 Inverness Drive. Attendees can also take part in a raffle for themed holiday baskets donated by local companies.

Tickets for the tour can be purchased online at healthcareaccess.org. Tickets are also for sale at the service counters of both Hy-Vee grocery stores, and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Health Care Access office in the United Way Building, 2518 Ridge Court.
