Lions rout Wyandotte to remain unbeaten
Lawrence High’s girls basketball team took a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a 64-23 rout over Kansas City Wyandotte on Tuesday at Wyandotte.
The Lions, who had a 34-6 lead by halftime, were led offensively by seniors E’lease Stafford (12 points), Tyrin Cosey (11) and Asia Goodwin (11). Wyandotte dropped its record to 0-3.
Lawrence (3-0, ranked No. 2 in Class 6A) will face Free State in the City Showdown at 6 p.m. Friday at Allen Fieldhouse.
