Overland Park ? On the road against one of the top teams in the state Thursday, Lawrence High’s boys soccer team hung tough against Shawnee Mission East, but lost in double-overtime, 3-2, at SM Soccer Complex.

The Lancers, ranked No. 5 in Class 6A, improved their record to 6-0, while LHS seniors Cain Scott and Husam Aldamen scored for the Lions.

Lawrence (3-3) will travel to Gardner-Edgerton on Monday.
