Olathe ? Opening Sunflower League play Thursday, Lawrence High’s volleyball team posted a 1-2 record at the Olathe South quadrangular.

The Lions beat Shawnee Mission South (25-23, 25-27, 25-17) and lost to SM West (25-18, 25-18) and Olathe South (25-20, 25-19).

Offensively, Baylee Unruh led the Lions with 22 kills and Katelyn Mask added 19. Setters Laurel Bird and Laura Willoughby had 30 and 26 assists, respectively.

On defense, Unruh and libero Lauren Maceli recorded 41 digs, Bird had 22, Mask had 20 and Willoughby finished with 18.

The Lions (6-3) will play in the Olathe South tournament on Saturday.
