Kansas City, Kan. ? After almost one full quarter of play, Thursday’s contest between Tonganoxie and Kansas City (Kan.) Turner was postponed because of lightning at Turner Stadium.

Tonganoxie (4-1) held a 12-0 lead on the road after rushing touchdowns from Jordan Brown and Zac Morgan, but the game was postponed with 24 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

The teams will resume play at 3:30 p.m. today.
