Former Lawrence High left-hander Garrett Cleavinger has continued his winning ways since signing with the Baltimore Orioles organization after pitching for the University of Oregon for three years.

Cleavinger, 22, was named Orioles minor league pitcher of the month after going 3-0 with a 1.84 ERA in six relief appearances in April for the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Class A South Atlantic League. He went 6-1 for the Aberdeen IronBirds of the short-season NY Penn League last year.

Cleavinger went 18-4 at Oregon, which means that since graduating from LHS, Cleavinger has posted a 27-5 record.
