Power restored to more than 1,600 Lawrence customers following brief outage
More than 1600 Westar Energy customers were without electricity Wednesday, June 15, 2016, according to an outage map on Westar's website.
Power has been restored to many of the 1,600 Westar Energy customers in Lawrence who were without electricity Wednesday afternoon, according to Westar’s website.
The outage, which was first reported at 3:26 p.m., stretched from just northwest of the intersection of Bob Billings Parkway and Kasold Drive to the area north of Sixth Street, near Lawrence Country Club.
By 4:17 p.m., the majority of those customers were no longer listed on Westar’s outage map.
