City Band’s season-ending concert moves indoors because of weather

The Lawrence City Band will move its final concert of the summer indoors Wednesday evening.
The band will perform its “Grand Finale” concert at 8 p.m. in Room 130 of Murphy Hall on the Kansas University campus.
The concert was moved from its normal location in South Park after thunderstorms moved through the area Wednesday morning and afternoon. Nearly an inch of rain had been recorded at Lawrence Municipal Airport as of 3 p.m.
