Wichita ? Miles Dressler scored 21 points, and Veritas Christian defeated Topeka Heritage, 64-57, on Thursday in the first round of the KCAA boys state basketball tournament.

Trey Huslig added 15 points and Chad Stieben scored 11 for the Eagles.

Veritas (17-14) will meet St. Mary’s Academy in the semifinals at 5 p.m. today.
