KU Crime Blotter: Week of April 11 through April 17

The following incidents were reported to the Kansas University Office of Public Safety between Monday, April 11, and Sunday, April 17. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.

April 17

• Criminal damage to property occurred about 3:15 a.m. April 17 at GSP Hall. Someone damaged a glass pane window. Damage was estimated at $250.

April 16

• An assault occurred about 1 a.m. April 16 in Lot 94, 1100 block of Mississippi Street. The victim was punched.

• Police found someone in possession of drugs — marijuana and a controlled substance — with intent to distribute, drug paraphernalia and a fake driver’s license about 1:40 a.m. April 16 at Ellsworth Hall. The person was arrested.

April 14

• An assault occurred about 4:30 p.m. April 14 at Oliver Hall. Someone trespassed into a room, where a battery and a domestic battery took place.

• Criminal damage to property occurred about 1:40 a.m. April 14 at GSP Hall. Someone punched a window and a wall, breaking the window and damaging the wall. Loss was valued at $600. The person was arrested.

• Criminal damage to property occurred about 1 a.m. April 14 in Lot 11, 500 block of West 11th Street. Someone punched and broke the back window of a vehicle. Damage was estimated at $360. The person was arrested.

• During a traffic stop, police found someone operating a vehicle under the influence about 11:35 p.m. April 14 on Sunnyside Avenue. The person was arrested.

April 13

• Someone was arrested for trespassing about 7:30 p.m. April 13 at Hoglund Ballpark.

• Criminal damage to property occurred between April 11 and April 12 at Hashinger Hall. Someone broke two Plexiglas ground light covers. Damage was estimated at $40.

April 11

• Domestic battery occurred the evening of April 11 in Lot 218, 2100 block of Clinton Parkway. The suspect choked his girlfriend. He was arrested.

• Someone took a bicycle and combination lock from the rack at Margaret Amini Scholarship Hall, between April 9 and April 11. Loss was valued at $815.

• Someone entered a locked room and took a USB hub at Bailey Hall, between March 11 and April 11. Loss was valued at $100.
