Carlton Bragg to return for sophomore year at KU

Kansas forward Carlton Bragg Jr. (15) and the Jayhawk bench react to a bucket with contact by teammate Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (10) during the second half, Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at Allen Fieldhouse.

Kansas University freshman forward Carlton Bragg Jr., said Wednesday at the Jayhawks’ basketball banquet he would return to KU for his sophomore season.

In 2015-16, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward averaged 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds while logging 8.9 minutes per game in 38 games. He hit 64 of 114 shots for 56.1 percent.

Bragg’s announcement that he would not enter the NBA Draft came a day after soph Svi Mykhailiuk said he also would return — in his case for a junior season. Also this week, Prolific Prep senior sensation Josh Jackson said he’d be playing at KU.
