KU Crime Blotter: Week of Nov. 9 through Nov. 15

The following incidents were reported to the Kansas University Office of Public Safety between Monday, Nov. 9, and Sunday, Nov. 15. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.

Nov. 15

• Someone drove a car through a parking barricade about 9 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Mississippi Street parking garage. Damage was estimated at $500.

• Someone cut a bicycle lock and stole the bike sometime between Nov. 6 and Nov. 15 at Pearson Scholarship Hall. Loss was valued at $500, and damage was estimated at $25.

Nov. 14

• Police found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alcohol in a minor’s room about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Jayhawker Towers, after the person’s roommate called in a complaint. The suspect was arrested.

• Following a traffic stop, someone was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated about 1:15 a.m. Nov. 14 on West 18th Street.

Nov. 13

• Criminal damage occurred about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at Naismith Hall. Someone had pried off a KU Parking sign and used to it prop open a door.

Nov. 10

• A battery and assault occurred about 2 p.m. Nov. 10 at Strong Hall. Someone hit another person in the face multiple times and also broke the victim’s phone screen. The assailant was arrested. Damages were estimated at $100.
