Shortly after Chalmers posted on Twitter, “surgery was a success, now time to rehab (and) start workin out,” the Heat formally announced that Chalmers underwent an arthroscopic procedure to repair an inflamed Plica in his right knee.

Chalmers later posted on Instagram, “Thank you everybody for my recovery wishes. U kno how the sayin goes minor setback for a major comeback.”

The 20-minute procedure was performed at Doctor’s Hospital in Miami by team physician Harlan Selesnick.

Chalmers is expected to resume basketball activities shortly.

Chalmers appeared in a team-high 80 of the Heat’s 82 regular-season games. His only absences were a March 6 road loss to the Washington Wizards, due to a bruised right knee, and when he was held out of the season finale against the Philadelphia 76ers.
