KU track third at Big 12 meet

? A trio of Kansas University men’s pole vaulters and thrower Daina Levy (shot put) all recorded second-place finishes to put KU men’s and women’s track and field teams in third after Day 1 of the Big 12 championships.

Nick Meyer, Jake Albright and Aaron Blevins all cleared 5.20 meters to join Texas Tech’s Kyle Thompson in a four-way tie for second place.

Levy led the KU women with a runner-up performance of 65.31 meters in the shot put.

Jaimie House (women’s pole vault) and James Wilson (men’s 10K) earned third-place finishes in the their respective events.
