What are your favorite and least favorite things about Lawrence? I like the nascent food scene places like Limestone, Decade and Hank. They’re building a good foundation for really cool restaurants. Least favorite would be mid- to late-August traffic.

Whom do people say you look like? I do get Santa Claus sometimes and a lion.

What’s your spirit animal? Lion because I like to sleep and lions are really good at that. Plus solidarity with the whole mane concept.

Tell us a secret: My favorite senator is Bernie Sanders.

If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who would it be? John Brown, because I think he is less crazy than history has painted him, and I’d like to find out for myself how crazy he actually was.
