Construction expected to slow traffic at 14th and Haskell on Wednesday

Motorists should expect traffic delays on Wednesday around East 14th Street and Haskell Avenue, Jeanette Klamm, management analyst for the city of Lawrence, said in a release.

Utility crews will be replacing a manhole ring and lid in the area, the release said. The streets will remain open during construction, but drivers should anticipate slower-than-normal traffic.

Crews will begin work around 9 a.m. and hope to finish before 5 p.m. Workers will be on site to help direct traffic.
