Earl May Nursery & Garden Center, 3200 Iowa St., and Lawrence’s food bank, Just Food, 1000 E. 11th St., will collect canned and boxed goods Sunday through March 31. Donations will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday. Donations will be delivered to Just Food on April 1. Earl May Nursery & Garden Center will also donate 20 percent of its March 28 sales to the food bank.

Rachel Myslivy

Rachel Myslivy, program director for Lawrence’s Climate and Energy Project, has been recognized with the 2015 Excellence in Conservation and Environmental Education Award. Myslivy is one of five Kansans to receive the award this year. The award acknowledges her professional and volunteer work in environmental education.
