Springdale, Ark. ? Lawrence High’s baseball team dropped its season opener to Springdale Har-Ber, 9-8, on Friday at Arvest Park.

The Lions (0-1) led 7-2 midway through the third inning, but couldn’t stop the Wildcats from scoring three runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings to tie the score. The Wildcats scored one run in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off victory.

LHS will return to the field to face Rogers (Arkansas) at noon today.
