TEDxLawrence announces 12 speakers for March 23
The 12 speakers for the March 23 TEDxLawrence event have been announced, officials said.
TEDx is a program of locally-organized events and presentations meant to spark discussions between the speakers and those in attendance, TEDxLawrence spokesperson Beth Pine said in a release.
Scheduled presentations for the event are:
- Shane Lopez, The Secrets of People Who Love Their Jobs.
- Mark Hayward, A Yo-yo With A Broken String: How Failure Leads to Success.
- Yong Zeng, Lap-on-a-Chip: Catching Molecular Messages Sent by Tumors.
- Pam Grout, Why everybody — not just artists — needs to practice creativity.
- Anthony Barnett, Human-Canine Healing.
- Eric Melin, How Air Guitar Can Reveal Your Own Creative Process.
- Jackie Counts, Small Ripples, Big Change.
- Jacqueline Von Edelberg, How to Walk to School: Blueprint for a Neighborhood School Renaissance.
- Matt Kirby, The Distance From Your Center: Mechanical Advantage, Torque, and Your Local Effect Into the Permeating Medium.
- Michael Combest, Fish Know Nothing About Water.
- Mark Murray, Faith & Science – Healing a Divide.
- Stefan Mumaw, The Shape of Ideation.
The day-long event will be held at Liberty Hall, 644 Massachusetts St. There are no tickets left for the event.
