Baldwin City ? Ryan Goodwin, a Lawrence High graduate, has been named head baseball coach at Baker University.

Goodwin, head coach at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, the past two seasons, has been an assistant coach at Jackson State, Washburn University and Neosho County.

“The opportunity to become the new head baseball coach at Baker University is something I am honored and excited about,” Goodwin said. “Having grown up in Lawrence and at one point recruited by Baker, I have had the chance to see how special a place Baker is first hand.”

Goodwin played at Highland and South Dakota.
