The Lawrence Raiders lost to Gameday Colorado (Illinois), 4-2, Sunday to round out the Kansas University youth baseball tournament at Hoglund Ballpark.

Ivan Hollins led the Raiders offensively by reaching base three times with a triple, a hit by pitch and a base on balls. Mikey Corbett and Nolan Prochaska had an RBI apiece to account for the Raider runs.

Sunday’s setback came after a 12-11 nine-inning win on Friday over Natural Baseball.

Kendall Fritzel hit a game-tying double in the seventh, and Nate Hulse hit a game-winning two-bagger to cap off the Raiders’ five-run ninth, answering Natural Baseball’s four-run rally in the top of the ninth.

The Raiders (6-7-1) will play next against Next Level Baseball at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lawrence High.
